To qualify, you need an active Ohio RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and at least one year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is acceptable in lieu of BLS. Six months of acute care hospital experience is recommended. Recommended skills include strong communication, adaptability, critical thinking, and proficiency with EMR systems.
