Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is acceptable in lieu of BLS. Six months of acute care hospital experience is recommended. Recommended skills include strong communication, adaptability, critical thinking, and proficiency with EMR systems.
