Nurse Practitioner – Cardiothoracic Surgery

A healthcare facility in Springfield, Ohio is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with Cardiothoracic Surgery or Critical Care experience to support Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons in both surgical and ICU settings. This opportunity offers a dynamic clinical environment with exposure to complex cardiovascular care.

Surgical / ICU / CVICU Coverage

Coverage Dates

• April 6, 2026 – April 13, 2026 (7 AM – 7 AM)

• April 20, 2026 – June 1, 2026 (7 AM – 7 AM)

EMR:
Epic Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days Temporary Privileges:
Potentially available in 45 days

Clinical Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons

• Conduct rounding and patient evaluations

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests

• Write prescriptions and manage treatment plans

• Perform vein harvesting when required

• Support perioperative and ICU patient management

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) – REQUIRED

• ACLS Certification – REQUIRED

• COVID-19 Vaccination – REQUIRED

• Cardiothoracic Surgery experience – Preferred

• Critical Care experience may be considered (NO new grads)

• Ohio State License – Preferred (providers willing to obtain quickly may be considered)

• NPDB Self-Query report required at submission (within 30 days)

• Availability for the listed coverage dates – REQUIRED
