Position Summary
We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker's / Retail Sales Associate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as: work location, qualifications, and experience.
Pay and incentives
: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour, with an easily achievable commission structure that pays for every transaction processed. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.56 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

- The best working hours in the business. Most stores open at 9AM and close at 6PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.
- Earned Wage Access (EWA) program is available to all employees on the second day of employment. Employees can withdraw up to 50% of wages earned up to seven times in a payroll cycle.
- Unlimited commission above the hourly base rate.
- VACATION:
One week of paid vacation after six months of full-time service; additional weeks after milestones; PTO/Vacation grant adjusted per state/local requirements. 120 hours after five years. - SICK/PERSONAL: 8 hours after 6 months, 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (years 2-5); 24 hours after five years.

- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Explains the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
- Completes assigned training and other related duties as needed.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling).
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Must be 18 years or older;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency; cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan InformationThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. Applicants receive more details during the interview process.
