As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Access in Springfield, OH
, you will serve and safeguard clients across industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This is a Part-Time role offering a flexible schedule and opportunities to explore other roles through our Claim a Shift platform.

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at gates, entrances, and/or guard shacks by checking identification, issuing badges, managing visitor logs, and verifying appointments for drivers, vendors, and employees.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic by documenting trailer and container numbers, seal numbers, and shipment paperwork as required, and coordinate with site contacts to support smooth yard operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and written reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, lots, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify maintenance, lighting, and facility concerns.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as a condition of employment in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $18.12 / Hour

Job Schedule: Part-Time (availability on weekends, per local requirements)
