Outdoor Carpenter

Five Guys Property Maintenance (FGPM) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Outdoor Carpenter to support our construction and property improvement operations. This position focuses primarily on wood fencing and deck construction
, with additional responsibilities that may include exterior carpentry, repairs, and light interior or finish carpentry work.

This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with little to no supervision while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards.

• Construct, repair, and install wood fencing
  , including privacy, picket, and custom fence systems
• Build and repair decks
  , including framing, decking, railings, stairs, and trim
• Perform exterior carpentry tasks related to property maintenance and improvements
• Assist with or complete light interior and finish carpentry as needed (trim, repairs, minor framing)
• Read and interpret basic plans, layouts, and measurements

• Legally and safely operate a company truck and trailer
• Load, transport, and unload materials and tools
• Maintain an organized and efficient job site

• Work independently while maintaining steady workflow and production
• Deliver high-quality workmanship with strong attention to detail
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Perform finish work and final detailing to FGPM standards
• Communicate job progress and material needs clearly

• Ability to work standing, kneeling, bending, or crouched for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round

• Assist with tasks outside of this job description as needed to:
• Maintain year-round employment
• Support overall business operations
• Ensure consistent weekly pay
• Follow all FGPM safety policies, procedures, and job site protocols

• Proven experience in outdoor carpentry
  , specifically fencing and deck construction
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely tow and operate trucks and trailers
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Dependable, self-motivated, and professional

• General knowledge of interior and finish carpentry
• Experience with layout, framing, and trim work
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on job sites
