• Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license and the appropriate endorsement(s).
• Knowledge of automotive and heavy equipment maintenance and repair; transmission repair; hydraulics; safety practices; department policies and procedures.
• Skill in equipment mechanics; heavy equipment operation; use of hand‑held power tools.
• Ability to understand manuals and verbal instructions technical in nature; cooperate with co‑workers on group projects; lift and move up to eighty (80) pounds a distance of thirty (30) yards.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience which evidences an advanced knowledge of maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.

Equipment Operated:
Loader, dump truck, heavy and light construction equipment, tractor trailer (examples only and not intended to be all inclusive).
