2nd Shift Premium: $2.50 Per Hour

Main Responsibilities- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics
- Perform preventative maintenance such as tire replacement or rotation, lubrication, component replacement, and basic electrical and cooling system repairs on gas and diesel vehicles
- Partner with managers to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
- Work on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Team‑player who can work independently when necessary
- Basic computer skills
- Proficiency in following instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management
- Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies (including proper tool use, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices)
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function
- DOT‑regulated driving experience:
Must maintain a current driver qualification file, complete annual MVR checks, DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records. CDL holders must undergo DOT drug screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review as required. - Willingness to work the required schedule, travel for training, and pass background checks, drug screen, and physical as mandated by the Department of Transportation
- Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and extended sitting during the work period
- Use of hands daily to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls
- Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
- Capacity to see and hear to navigate a workplace with frequent large‑truck traffic
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs (23kg) and occasionally up to 100lbs (45kg); ability to push or pull truck tires exceeding 100 pounds
