Job Type: Full-Time – Rotating Emergency on Call

Pay Rate: $24/hr
- Depending on Experience + sign on bonus ($1500)

The Maintenance Technician will complete specific maintenance functions per the direction of the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance supervisor or Community Manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment, such as hand tools and power tools.
• Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of apartment maintenance functions.
• Basic knowledge of applicable laws governing residential housing preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Valid driver’s license required
• Certification in HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry or Plumbing is a plus.

• Execute various site maintenance projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Execute unit turns within company standards as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
• Responsible for the timely completion of work orders within the community.
• Responsible for emergency maintenance response within the community, which includes on-call rotations.
• Maintain specific levels of certification as required for the position.
• Responsible to maintain community to Company standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Will learn Reac protocols and assist with Reac readiness.

Physical Demands:
Position requires extensive walking, stooping/bending, balancing, kneeling, squatting and climbing.

Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:
Travel between communities within the region may be required. Position requires work to be performed indoors and outside. Indoor working conditions are often inside resident apartment, common areas, or in the designated maintenance shop area. Outside work is throughout the community grounds and outdoor common areas.
