POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Programs Director, coordinates internal and external prevention programming-including support groups, provides community education, and public awareness, to promote the mission of Project Woman, and provides volunteer and internship coordination. Building awareness in the community of issues related to domestic violence, sexual violence, teen dating violence, and human trafficking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Two or four-year degree in Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or related field; relevant work or lived experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience in domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, or related fields preferred.
- Experience with public speaking and presentations.
- Experience in crisis intervention strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn technology platforms.
- General knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, social services, and community resources.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with survivors and their families.
- Experience with Trauma-Informed Approaches, Ohio Rape Crisis Core Standards, and Crisis Intervention.
- Ability to remain calm and responsive in crisis situations.
- Ability to practice good self-care.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and provide culturally competent services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong professional ethics, including confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.
