CDL A Local Route Delivery

Position Overview

Gordon Food Service is recruiting a CDL A Delivery Driver located at 4980 Gateway Blvd., Springfield, OH. As a delivery driver, you will build relationships with customers while delivering essential food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and more. You will unload cases up to 100 lbs and use a ramp and two‑wheeler throughout your shift.

The role offers day shifts on local routes, allowing you to return home each day.

Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply.

• Deliver food products to a variety of customer locations.
• Unload cases up to 100 lbs safely.
• Operate a ramp and two‑wheeler throughout the shift.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL license at the time of hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Ability to operate a two‑wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds.
• Successful drug test and background check, including DOT‑required drug and alcohol clearance.
• Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with electronic consent.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 3:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m. (until route finish). Pay:
Drivers average $70,000 – $80,000 per year, with a guaranteed minimum of $1,070 per week. Compensation includes daily base pay plus component pay for miles driven, stops made, and cases delivered.
