3rd Shift Freight Handler – Part Time

Location: 4980 Gateway Blvd. Springfield, OH 45502

Pay: Starting at $18.60/hour plus $1 second shift premium, plus performance incentives and bonuses.

Work Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – 10pm to 6am.

Job Summary: Gordon Food Service’s warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a freight handler, you’ll support our team by safely removing pallets of product from the trailer, breaking down the product for correct pallet configuration, separating inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensuring damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory, and accounting for the structural integrity of pallets.

• Safely remove pallets of product from the trailer and break down products for correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto proper pallets.
• Ensure that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into inventory for sale.
• Monitor and maintain the structural integrity of all pallets.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Capable of working in extreme cold or hot conditions (−25F to 100F).
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred but not required.
