Position: Financial Solutions Guide 1 (Teller)

Where You Will Work

Springfield Branch: 5000 Main Street, Springfield, OR 97478 (Branches).

Pay Range

The target hourly pay range for this position is $18.70 - $21.25. The full hourly pay range is $17.00 - $25.50.

  • Additional $2.00 per hour bilingual differential for employees who can support members’ financial needs in a second language.
  • Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

What You’ll Do
  • Welcome and engage members by greeting visitors warmly, managing branch traffic to ensure minimal wait times, and building consultative sales conversations.
  • Promote credit union products and services by proactively identifying member needs and closing sales to meet referral sales targets.
  • Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Resolve member inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy, ensuring timely resolution and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Make outbound calls to support outreach initiatives and relationship building.
  • Perform specialized financial functions such as wire transfers, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Balance cash drawer, assist with vault balancing, dispenser maintenance, certifications, key assignments, and cash orders.
  • Record detailed notes on member interactions and transactions for clear communication and follow‑up.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and continuous learning by mastering new systems, processes, and policies, and by maintaining a professional image.
  • Support branch operations and staffing as needed across locations and departments, and perform other duties as assigned to ensure operational excellence.
  • All other duties as assigned.
When You’ll Be Working

Monday–Friday: 8:45 am – 5:45 pm. Rotating Saturdays: 9:15 am – 1:45 pm. Full time, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of experience interacting with customers and handling cash, or an equivalent combination of work experience.

  • Demonstrated bilingual skills and consultative sales skills to uncover member needs and build lasting financial relationships.
