Overview
Peace Health Medical Center at River Bend is expanding our General Surgery services adding a Physician Assistant to support 9 surgeons and working alongside 5 APCs.
Practice Highlights:
- Our General Surgery team specializes in general surgery, minimally invasive procedures, colorectal, foregut and other oncologic surgical care.
- This position is a blend of clinic, rounding on patients in the hospital, and supporting surgeons in the OR.

River Bend Medical Center supports Eugene, Springfield, and surrounding communities, approximately 400,000 people. We are the largest hospital between Portland, OR and Sacramento, CA, with 5 Da Vinci Xi systems. The catchment area for River Bend extends to the Oregon coast and west cascades south to the Oregon/California border.
The communities of Eugene and Springfield are located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, also known as Oregon wine country. Two rivers run through the communities, the Willamette River and McKenzie River. Activities include biking, walking or running the Middle Fork Path along the Willamette River, or fishing on the McKenzie River. Eugene is home of the University of Oregon.

Responsibilities- Provide patient care as part of the General Surgery team, including clinic work, hospital rounding, and operating room support alongside surgeons.
- Collaborate with 9 surgeons and 5 APCs to deliver comprehensive surgical services.
- Participate in outpatient and inpatient management, implementing evidence-based practices.
- Contribute to a high-quality, patient-centered care environment with a focus on safety and outcomes.
- Certified Physician Assistant licensed to practice in the state.
- Experience or interest in general surgery, minimally invasive procedures, colorectal, foregut, and oncologic surgical care is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team with OR, clinic, and rounding responsibilities.
- First year salary amount depends on experience: $166,337 - $187,304
