Primary Care Physician, Springfield

Duties: Address health maintenance of patients and assess and treat conditions that occur in everyday life such as sinus and respiratory infections, intestinal ailments, and broken bones. Family medicine physicians in our medical practices may have regular, long-term patients, both adults and children, and may include all members of the same household. Applies knowledge and skills necessary to perform duties of a physician in providing medical care;

responds to emergency and non-emergency patient situations; assesses the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed; completes patient care forms and documentation; adheres to all policies and procedures relevant to providing medical care to patients. Other duties may be required in order to provide medical care in performance of the job.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, or the equivalent foreign degree. The employer accepts equivalent foreign degrees to the US MD or DO degree. If qualifying by an equivalent foreign degree, must have a certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Equivalent foreign degree must be determined by a qualified education evaluation agency.
• Active Oregon medical license, or eligibility to obtain such license.
• For Medical Doctors, completion of the US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Steps 1, 2 & 3; or, for Doctors of Osteopathy, Comprehensive Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX-USA).
• Completion of a US medical residency program in Family Medicine.
• Board certification or Board eligibility for Family Medicine.
• Work Location: Full-time position at Praxis Health’s Thurston Medical Clinic, 147 S. 52 nd Place, Springfield, Oregon 97478.
