Why Peace Health. Why This Role. Why Now.

If you’re tired of high‑volume, transactional customer service and want work that feels human, then this is your place.

At Peace Health’s Women’s & Children’s Complex, you’re often the first calm face someone sees during one of the most emotional days of their life. This role is about presence, kindness, and making people feel safe, every single day.

What’s in it for you:
  • Meaningful moments, not rushed interactions. You’ll support patients and families during pregnancy, birth, and pediatric care.
  • A slower, more intentional pace. This is not a chaotic front desk; it’s a welcoming, relationship‑driven environment.
  • Autonomy you can feel. You’re trusted to read the room, solve problems, and guide people with confidence.
  • Mission‑driven culture. Compassion matters here as much as efficiency.
  • Live and work in the Pacific Northwest. Community‑focused care surrounded by forests, rivers, and fresh air.
What You’ll Do:

You’ll focus on helping people feel oriented, welcomed, and supported the moment they walk in.

  • Greet patients, families, visitors, and staff with warmth and professionalism.
  • Offer clear directions and escort people when needed, especially during stressful moments.
  • Serve as a steady point of contact in the lobby for questions and reassurance.
  • Support and coordinate with lobby volunteers.
  • Issue visitor badges and guide vendors to the right locations.
  • Help maintain wheelchair availability and assist with transport as needed.
  • Coordinate support from Environmental Services or other departments when issues arise.
  • Help with mail and flower delivery in accordance with guidelines.
  • Handle light computer tasks and documentation as needed.
Success Matrix:
How You’ll Know You’re Making a Difference

This role isn’t about foot traffic, it’s about experience, comfort, and trust
.

Your impact looks like:
  • Patients feel less anxious because they are greeted with kindness, not confusion.
  • Families arrive on time and in the right place during critical appointments.
  • Visitors feel welcomed instead of overwhelmed.
  • Nurses and clinical teams stay focused because you’ve handled the front‑end support.
  • People leave remembering how they was treated, not just where they were directed.
Nice to Have (Not Required)

Experience in customer service, hospitality, or concierge work is helpful, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to stay calm, kind, and present, while maintaining balance and boundaries that support your life outside of work.
