Job Description

As a full-time Manager of Infection Prevention at Sacred Heart, you will serve as a clinical expert, shaping the systems and practices that ensure a safe, evidence-based care environment.

- Lead the day to day operations of our Infection Prevention department across the network.
- Shape strategy and practice to reduce and eliminate healthcare associated infections.
- Oversee surveillance and reporting to ensure accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with clinical teams to develop strong infection prevention policies and deliver impactful caregiver education.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards — including CDC, OSHA, state public health, and accreditation bodies.
- Drive performance and quality, ensuring the department meets high standards of service, safety, and efficiency.
- Education:
Bachelor’s in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field (or accredited Medical Technology/ASCP program) / Master’s degree preferred. - Experience:
3+ years Infection Preventionist experience in a hospital setting and 2+ years of leadership experience in Infection Prevention or acute care. - Certification: CIC required within 12 months of hire.
- Skills:
Strong proficiency in data analysis, adult learning principles, and Microsoft Office. - Commitment:
Ability to participate in local travel and an on-call rotation.
- Salary Range: $128,044 – $192,067 (based on experience).
