Job Title
Dietitian I – Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day Position
SalarySalary range: $33.13 – $49.69
Job SummaryThis position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Competent use of the Nutrition Care Process including nutrition assessment, identification of nutritional diagnosis, implementation of appropriate nutrition intervention, and formulation of patient-specific goals, monitoring, evaluation, and follow up of outcomes.
- Using evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines, provide nutrition education to patients and families in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
- Provide consult services to other healthcare providers and participate in the interdisciplinary team.
- Document in the EMR in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations.
- Make referrals to other services, agencies and community resources when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master's Degree
Required:
in a related field of study. Caregivers who earned their RD license before 1/1/2024 when a bachelor's degree was sufficient are grandfathered. - Required: Successful completion of an approved internship/training program.
- Registered Dietitian: Must be registered within 180 days of hire or pass the Registration Exam.
- Licensed Dietitian – Oregon (Required for Outpatient and PHMG/Ambulatory Dietitians in OR).
- May be required:
Current Medicare provider status number.
- Demonstrated skill in teaching adults and pediatrics of varying competency levels. (Required)
- Must be able to design, implement, and evaluate instructional materials. (Required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Required)
- Ability to interact with a variety of departments and work independently on numerous projects simultaneously. (Required)
- Proficient in the use of computers including MS Office applications. (Required)
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs. (Required)
- Frequent moving around work area.
- Frequent grasping, reaching.
- Frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs.
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, bending.
- Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting or in office environment.
- Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
