Job Description
Peace Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Home Health for a full-time, 1.00 FTE, day position.
The salary range is $30.12 – $45.18. The hiring rate is dependent on factors such as education, training, work experience, and applicable agreements.
Job SummaryUnder the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA assists in carrying out the treatment plan for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric with musculoskeletal, neurological, and/or medical diagnoses.
Responsibilities- Treat assigned patients following an established treatment plan and goals set by the Occupational Therapist; modify plan to meet patients' needs.
- Maintain appropriate clinical and billing records.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new caregivers.
- Make recommendations regarding acquisition of new equipment and environment of care needs.
- Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team.
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program required.
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – Oregon required.
- Basic Life Support upon hire required.
- For Home Health:
Driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills (required).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and display flexibility in a fast‑paced, changing work environment (required).
