As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities include:
- Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates
- Accurately documenting in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Assisting providers with clinical procedures and testing
- Managing clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support
- Contributing to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
- Ability to multi‑task and provide support to multiple providers
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings.
OSHA CategoryThis position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis‑B vaccination series.
