Willamette Valley Cancer Institute is looking for a skilled Admixture Technician to prepare, maintain, and deliver medications for our patients. The team supports both retail and admixture departments, giving technicians with retail experience an opportunity to advance their scope.
OverviewAs a pharmaceutical specialist in cancer treatment, the Admixture Technician will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring accurate and timely medication preparation while adhering to OSHA and interoffice guidelines.
The pay scale for this position is $19.00‑$46.80 per hour. Hiring rate depends on experience, education, and performance.

- Location:

- Assist with preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing medications.
- Verify orders for completeness, patient information, and physician authorization.
- Admix drugs accurately and timely per physician orders and departmental guidelines.
- Calculate correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
- Properly dispose of all materials used when mixing chemo or non‑chemo IVs; maintain cleanliness of hoods and conduct quality assurance activities.
- Maintain accurate temperature logs and records for all protocol and patient assistance drugs.
- Control documentation of medications, including lot numbers; support inventory control; prepare labels; file and prepare billing; perform basic data entry into departmental automation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of pharmacy experience.
- Pharmacy Technician Certificate required.
Full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, and accurate measurement reading are required. The role involves extended sitting or standing, occasional lifting of up to 40 lb, and exposure to patient contact and hazardous substances.
