Certified Surgical Technician (CST) / CVOR – Travel

Springfield, OR

Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Onsite

• Proficiently scrub open heart and cardiovascular (CVOR) cases as a primary function of the role
• Prepare the operating room including the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions
• Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon and manage surgical equipment throughout procedures
• Simultaneously manage the sterile field and surgical specimens during cases
• Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects
• Float to the Main OR or Sterile Processing Department and serve as a constant observer as needed

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential issued by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited or equivalent programmatically-accredited surgical technology program
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Demonstrated proficiency scrubbing open heart and cardiovascular cases
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Local candidates will not be considered; this is a travel position only

• Experience floating between OR, CVOR, and Sterile Processing environments
• Familiarity with serving in a constant observer or house float capacity
