Purpose

The Business Analyst Senior will be primarily responsible for assessing all aspects of core business processes and procedures, utilizing best practices and current analysis techniques and methodologies. They will routinely perform as a cross‑functional team member or leader to analyze business problems, define requirements, recommend solutions to complex problems, and enhance procedures or processes. They will serve as liaison between business and IT development teams, translating customer needs into workable solutions, actively participating on process improvement teams, and leading technical teams on medium to large‑sized projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, test, implement, and maintain medium‑complexity software applications, queries, and reports, adhering to the standards documented within the IS department while working under little or no direct supervision.
  • Effectively use case analysis, requirements analysis, and process modeling to assess processes and procedures.
  • Meet policies and procedures for testing and promoting applications and reports.
  • Write detailed application and report documentation following established guidelines.
  • Conduct end‑user training programs and provide support.
  • Manage medium to large‑scale software implementation and business process reengineering projects.
  • Take a leadership role in improvement projects such as installations or upgrades of Enterprise One ERP software and other key applications.
  • Plan and design complex maintenance and enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and data conversions.
  • Translate complex user requests into functional specifications for the development team.
  • Design complex projects, enhancements (technical or procedural), reports, and interactive tasks.
  • Document and prepare customer procedures for all assignments.
  • Assist post‑installation by working with customers and IT personnel to solve complex problems and issues.
  • Conduct training classes for the IT department and customers on application software and processes.
  • Understand Roseburg’s business processes and develop practical and efficient process designs, documentation, and user procedures.
  • Conduct presentations to management and user groups.
  • Lead application testing and validation.
  • Model company core values.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or comparable relevant experience.
  • Legal authority to permanently work in the United States.
