Audit Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Six years or more of current/recent experience as an audit and assurance accountant at a certified public accounting firm
• Licensed CPA
• Technical knowledge in GAAP, GAAS, and OCBOA sufficient to supervise staff accountants and evaluate their progress when appropriate
• Experience managing and mentoring up-and-coming team members

• Manages multiple engagements at one time in their entirety; establish engagement objectives and scope of engagement, manage budgets and schedules
• Fully responsible for the client deliverable
• Develop and maintain client relations
• Pursue new business development
• Review staff work and provide clear and meaningful feedback
• Supervise and mentor engagement staff both in the field and as an assigned coach
• Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and client confidentiality
• Proficient at accounting and auditing research, including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm
