Production Lead

Job Summary

The Level 1 Production Lead assists the Supervisor in daily embroidery production by helping assign work, routing orders, and operating machines such as embroidery, sewing, and heat press equipment. This entry‑level leadership role emphasizes quality inspection, maintaining safe work practices, and supporting team efficiency while gaining experience in production coordination.

• Manage and help assign production work based on priorities, ship dates, and shipping methods.
• Help route or close orders.
• Operate various machinery within the production department, including embroidery machines, sewing machines, heat press, blocking, etc.
• Ensure a “Quality First” mentality when reviewing orders and working with others.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce spoilage and improve overall efficiency.
• Promote a culture of safety and awareness.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Richardson’s products.
• Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.

Must be able to read and interpret product sheets, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools.

• Light physical effort required. Continuous mental and visual attention required.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, etc.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Ear protection is optional.

Work performed in a clean, chemical‑free, temperature‑controlled manufacturing facility.

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
