At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Hand Packer based in Springfield, OR!

Shift Details: Monday - Friday (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)

This entry level position is responsible for packaging products manually, performing basic quality control checks, including accurate packaging, package counts, and weight, evaluating product and package appearance. Assembles boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets. Places product on conveying systems and supports machine operators with basic material replenishments.

• Prepare and package products, including folding, taping, labeling, stacking boxes onto pallets, and moving pallets with an electric pallet jack.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Safely, efficiently, and accurately perform duties to manually move product through the production facility.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Engage in all safety, quality, and other company programs.
• Understand and perform lockout tagout (LOTO) and other processes to assure safety for self and others on qualified machines.
• Conduct self and encourage coworkers to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Company mission, values, and code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills (keyboarding, email, data entry).
• Minimum of 6 months of successful work experience that involves accuracy, dependability, and teamwork, ideally in a food production environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment, functioning as a member of a cooperative team and safely perform job duties.
• Ability to obtain company certification in the safe and proper use of an electric pallet jack.
• Ability to adjust schedule to support 24/7 manufacturing, which may include work hours outside a typical shift, including weekends as needed.
