Position: REGISTERED NURSE - NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT - NIGHTS

Job Responsibilities

Full-Time NIGHTS

Registered Nurse candidates for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

  • As a Registered Nurse in NICU, you are directly responsible for monitoring vitals, administering medications and nutrients, and providing care to newborns.

  • Assess, plan and implement care and interventions in addressing the problems of the neonate.
  • Carry out physician orders.
  • Assist physician during examination, treatment, and procedures.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families.
  • Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient care environment for at‑risk infants.
  • Orient and mentor new staff members.
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Job Qualifications

Full-Time NIGHTS

Registered Nurse candidates for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing.
  • 1 year level III Neonatal Intensive Care RN experience.
  • A Washington State RN Licensure or active multistate RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.

Pay Rate: $50.21‑74.61
