Job Responsibilities
Full-Time NIGHTS
Registered Nurse candidates for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:
- As a Registered Nurse in NICU, you are directly responsible for monitoring vitals, administering medications and nutrients, and providing care to newborns.

- Assess, plan and implement care and interventions in addressing the problems of the neonate.
- Carry out physician orders.
- Assist physician during examination, treatment, and procedures.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families.
- Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient care environment for at‑risk infants.
- Orient and mentor new staff members.
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Job Qualifications
Full-Time NIGHTS
Registered Nurse candidates for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing.
- 1 year level III Neonatal Intensive Care RN experience.
- A Washington State RN Licensure or active multistate RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
Pay Rate: $50.21‑74.61
