Overview
Full-Time NIGHTS
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Ensure ongoing professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention programs.
- Nurses may be able to work in another nursing unit within Sacred Heart Medical Center UD and River Bend provided they have completed the necessary Care Connect training, unit-specific competencies, and have been deemed competent by a unit leader (e.g., unit manager, assistant nurse manager or clinical nurse educator) they are floating to.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Registered Nurse - Cardiology (RN - CARDIO), Full-Time Nights
Responsibilities (Cardiology)- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Ensure ongoing professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention programs.
- Nurses may be able to work in another nursing unit within Sacred Heart Medical Center UD and River Bend provided they have completed the necessary Care Connect training, unit-specific competencies and have been deemed competent by a leader of the unit (e.g., unit manager, assistant nurse manager or clinical nurse educator).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Registered Nurse candidates for the Cardiology Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:
Education- Graduate of an approved school of nursing required.
- BSN or current enrollment in BSN program preferred.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- Must have at least two years of acute care nursing experience.
- Must be competent, or willing to obtain competency within 6 months of hire to the MBRN position, in femoral arterial and venous sheath removal and management.
- Preference given to nurses with previous cardiac or critical care experience and/or with advanced specialty nursing credentials (PCCN, CCRN, etc.), and/or with training/competency to cover breaks for Charge Nurse/facilitators.
- Skilled in managing stressful situations and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to multi-task and manage time wisely; works well as a team member and uses effective interpersonal communication.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state in which the nurse will be practicing at date of hire.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.
- ACLS must be obtained within a standard grace period from hire or transfer, as specified in policy.
Hourly compensation is $47.40 - $74.48
