Cardiology patients often arrive feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, and vulnerable. As a CNA on our Cardiology team, you’ll be one of the caregivers they interact with most, making a direct impact on their comfort, confidence, and recovery every shift.

• Be present for the moments that matter. You’ll spend meaningful time at the bedside supporting patients through recovery, education, mobility, and daily care.

Every shift is an opportunity to make a patient’s experience safer, more comfortable, and more healing.

• Provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• Build supportive relationships with patients and families throughout their stay.
• Take and document vital signs and report changes in condition promptly.
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, transfers, and safe patient handling.
• Help patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, and hydration.
• Support comfort, dignity, and independence whenever possible.
• Perform basic clinical tasks within CNA scope, including treatments directed by nursing staff.
• Monitor and communicate patient concerns, symptoms, and needs.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and organized so care can happen without delay.
• Answer call lights and respond quickly to patient needs.
• Provide clerical and unit support as needed, including phones, order processing, and chart‑related tasks.
• Collaborate with nurses and other caregivers to create a positive patient experience.

• Build trust with patients and families through compassionate bedside care.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication with nurses, providers, and fellow caregivers.
• Support efficient patient flow while maintaining a high standard of care and safety.

• Help patients stay comfortable, mobile, and engaged in their recovery.
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition early, helping prevent complications.
• Create positive patient experiences through kindness, responsiveness, and attentiveness.
• Contribute to a healing environment where patients feel respected, informed, and cared for.
• Support better outcomes by helping patients maintain mobility, nutrition, hydration, and personal dignity throughout their hospitalization.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Oregon
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient‑centered care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment
• Knowledge of age‑specific care and patient needs across life stages

• One year of CNA experience in an acute care setting
• Previous experience working with cardiac or medical‑surgical patients

If you’ve worked in a cardiac, telemetry, or acute care setting, that’s wonderful, but it’s not required.
