Help patients take their first steps forward in a brand-new rehabilitation hospital.
If you've ever felt like patient care has become rushed, task-focused, or too busy to build meaningful connections, this is your opportunity to be part of something different. As a CNA at the new Peace Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Springfield, you'll work alongside a dedicated rehab team helping patients regain strength, independence, and confidence after life-changing injuries, illnesses, and surgeries, while forming the kind of patient relationships that remind you why you chose healthcare in the first place.
Why Us. Why Now.
* Join from the beginning. Be part of a brand-new rehabilitation hospital and help shape the culture, patient experience, and standard of care from day one.
* See patient progress happen. Unlike many acute care settings, you'll often care for patients throughout their recovery journey and witness milestones, breakthroughs, and celebrations firsthand.
* More meaningful patient interaction. Spend your time supporting recovery, mobility, and independence, not just completing tasks.
* Work with a highly collaborative rehab team. Partner closely with nurses, therapists, physicians, and caregivers who share a common goal: helping patients get back to living their lives.
* Build your future ess comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, continuing education support, and growth opportunities within a mission-driven healthcare system.
About the Role
As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Peace Health Rehabilitation Hospital, you'll play a vital role in helping patients recover and regain independence. Every interaction matters, from assisting with daily activities to encouraging a patient through their first walk after surgery or helping them accomplish goals they once thought were out of reach.
You'll work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse while contributing to a patient-centered rehabilitation experience that focuses on dignity, compassion, and measurable recovery.
What You'll Do
* Build supportive relationships with patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
* Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, eating, and hydration.
* Help patients safely move in and out of bed, transfer between locations, walk, and participate in mobility activities.
* Measure and document vital signs, intake/output, and other patient care observations.
* Recognize changes in a patient's condition and communicate concerns promptly to the nursing team.
* Perform CNA-level clinical tasks and treatments as directed by the care team.
* Support a clean, organized, and welcoming care environment.
* Stock supplies and help ensure patient rooms are ready for care needs.
* Document patient care accurately in the medical record.
* Provide occasional unit support, including answering phones, processing orders, and assisting with clerical tasks.
* Contribute to a culture of teamwork, safety, respect, and compassionate care.
How You'll Make an Impact
The Difference You'll Make
* Patients feel seen as people, not room numbers.
* Patients stay motivated throughout challenging recovery journeys.
* Families gain confidence in their loved one's care.
* Recovery milestones are achieved through compassionate, hands-on support.
* Patients leave stronger, safer, and more independent than when they arrived.
What You'll Bring
Required
* Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
* Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the care team.
