Assets Protection (AP) teams keep guests, team members, and the brand secure, mitigate shortage risks, prevent, and resolve theft and fraud, and build relationships inside and outside Target with store leaders and public safety officials.

• Use intelligence‐led tactics to keep team members and guests safe.
• Respond to crisis events, provide crowd management, and support guests and team members.
• De‑escalate incidents and apply physical security controls.
• Use Target’s video surveillance system and document cases accurately in the case management system.
• Promote a culture of safety and security throughout the store, including exterior property.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and support theft apprehension per AP policies.
• Perform merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft and shortages at the front of the store.
• Maintain safe work practices and report hazards.
• Perform additional duties as needed based on business needs.

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Enjoy interacting with guests and team members in a fast‐moving, physically demanding environment.
• Capable of working a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
• Can communicate on multiple frequency devices, operate handheld scanners, and use technology equipment.
• Work independently and as part of a team, manage workload, and prioritize tasks.
• Stay focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment, accomplishing tasks within time frames.
• Can climb ladders, apprehend subjects per policy, lift or move merchandise up to 40 pounds, and handle varying temperature/humidity conditions.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift and take required meal and rest breaks.
