Substation Project Manager
Location:
Eastern PA
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Substation Project Manager to oversee and manage our substation construction projects from inception to completion. The Substation Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating project teams, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. - Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and subcontractors. Manage relationships and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. - Quality and Safety Assurance:
Implement and enforce quality assurance and safety programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or budget. - Cost Control:
Monitor project expenses and ensure expenditures remain within budgetary limits. Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management. - Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate project team members. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. - Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Prepare comprehensive project status reports for stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Proven experience managing substation construction projects, ideally within the energy or utilities sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, substations, and power distribution networks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Range: $100,000 - $140,000 base salary
