Smiles and greets customers, discusses needs, makes suggestions, handles special requests, and resolves customer concerns promptly.;
Operates scanning equipment and cash register; performs checkout procedures including bagging and placing merchandise in customers cart.;
Maintains transaction accuracy and ensures customer is charged correctly and funds are collected; maintains cash drawer security to avoid overages/shortages.;
Follows store and legal guidelines regarding sale of alcohol and other products at the register; assists with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries if trained.;
Stocks and rotates merchandise; sets up displays; ensures freshness, correct pricing and signage; handles expired or damaged product per procedures.
