Required:

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Alternative qualifications may be considered by the Superintendent and Board of School Directors.
Preferred:
- Experience in delivery services, transportation, warehouse operations, facilities support, or related operational work.
- Experience working in a school district, public sector, or institutional environment.
- Familiarity with district facilities, routing procedures, or operational support activities.
- Experience operating vans, small trucks, or district fleet vehicles.
The School District of Springfield Township is seeking candidates who possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well within the school community. The Courier is responsible for the timely, safe, and efficient transportation and delivery of district mail, supplies, equipment, records, and materials between district buildings and approved locations.
This position supports district operations by ensuring accurate handling, delivery, and pickup of operational and instructional materials while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and safe driving practices. The role requires dependability, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Transports and delivers district mail, packages, supplies, equipment, records, and materials between schools, administrative offices, and approved district locations.
- Maintains scheduled delivery and pickup routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Loads, unloads, organizes, and distributes materials and supplies safely and appropriately.
- Assists with transporting confidential records, testing materials, instructional resources, technology equipment, and operational supplies in accordance with district procedures.
- Maintains delivery logs, records, receipts, inventory documentation, and related operational records, as assigned.
- Operates district vehicles safely and in accordance with traffic laws, district procedures, and safety regulations.
- Conducts routine vehicle inspections and reports maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or operational issues promptly.
- Assists with setup, moving, and delivery of furniture, equipment, and materials for district events, programs, and operational needs.
- Supports district departments with operational deliveries and logistical support activities, as assigned.
- Maintains confidentiality of student, personnel, testing, financial, and operational information transported throughout the district.
- Assists with sorting, organizing, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Communicates effectively with district staff regarding delivery schedules, operational needs, and transportation concerns.
- Assists with snow removal, grounds support, maintenance support, or operational projects, as assigned.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of district vehicles, storage areas, and delivery equipment.

Terms of Employment12 month, 230 days per day, Maintenance department, Class C, 4 hours per day, part-time position to be determined in accordance with the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement to begin as soon as possible.
