The Civil Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Springfield, TN. This position is responsible for preparing detailed civil engineering drawings and plans under the direction of engineers, including site layouts, grading plans, utilities, roadways, and drainage systems. Day‑to‑day tasks include creating and revising technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications, standards, and codes. The Civil Drafter will coordinate with engineers and other team members to clarify design requirements, update drawings based on feedback, and maintain organized drawing files and documentation.

The role also involves reviewing drawings for completeness, checking dimensions and annotations, and supporting the preparation of permit and construction document sets.

• Proficiency in Civil Engineering Drafting and Civil Engineering Design to translate engineering concepts into clear, buildable plans.
• Strong Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings skills to produce accurate, detailed, and well-annotated construction documents.
• Hands‑on experience with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) for creating, modifying, and managing civil drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and relevant codes or standards.
• Certificate or associate degree in drafting, civil engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members on‑site.
• Prior experience in land development, municipal infrastructure, or transportation projects is preferred but not required.
