Overview
Associate sets up, runs, and maintains rolling mill operation and various open tube and thermal tool mills. Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Receives instructions for job from area supervisor or leadman.
- Initial Machine inspection and startup of assigned mill
- Threading mill, splicing coils, and producing parts to a designated blueprint.
- Mill activity logging required per hour.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at a reasonable rate in a normal day.
- Must meet or exceed production standards.
- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to pass company entry level Mill Operator test.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and understand decimals and fractions.
- Must be able to understand verbal and written orders.
- Must be able to read a micrometer and calipers.
- Must be able to learn how to utilize a zip welder.
- Must be able to count and sort products.
- Must be able to read all blueprints.
- Must be able to complete inventory tickets.
- Must have manual dexterity skills.
- Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year’s experience in roll form operations is a plus.
