HVAC Maintenance Technician-III-Weekend Shift

All about the role:

The Maintenance Tech III – weekend day shift is responsible for maintaining and/or repairing company production and support equipment. Repairs and maintains all plant production machinery in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's specifications and blueprints. Perform tasks related to preventative maintenance, mechanical machine repairs, inspection and testing of equipment and specific projects. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability.

Based in the manufacturing plant located in Springfield, TN. The shift will start at 6:00 am and end at 6:30 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This role supports the production line and will follow production’s needs.

• Install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the facility.
• Service, maintain and troubleshoot critical HVAC equipment up to 80 tons.
• Report any unsafe condition or act immediately to supervision or EHS team member.
• Understand company safety and initiate and act as facilitator on the floor to promote those initiatives.
• Be knowledgeable and capable of responding to emergency situations.
• Inspect plant equipment for proper working condition and safe operation.
• Use CMMS Maintenance System to document work orders.
• Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Comply with all OSHA safety and health regulations.

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• Universal EPA certification required.
• Refrigerated chiller experience preferred.
• Evaporative cooling tower experience preferred.
• Experience working on up to 80 tons.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Understanding of electronic and mechanical components to troubleshoot and repair.
• Basic knowledge of the safe use and care of hand and power tools.
• Experience in Microsoft Office is a plus.

• This position is very active and requires frequent (4 to 12 hours) standing, walking, bending, kneeling.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedly.
• Ability to work in unusual or extreme elements, such as extreme temperatures.
• Ability to work safely from a ladder.
• Ability to operate a scissor lift, boom, and bucket lift and work at heights of up to 30 feet.
