Slitter​/Rewinder

Interstate Packaging Company seeks a 1st Shift Slitter/Rewinder Operator to run finishing equipment converting printed film into finished rolls. You will set up and operate slitter/rewinder machines, load and align rolls, monitor web tension and slit accuracy, and inspect product for print, seal, and roll quality. Responsibilities include following production schedules, recording run data, performing basic mechanical adjustments, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor slitter/rewinder equipment on 1st shift
• Load, align, and thread rolls of flexible packaging film per job specifications
• Verify slit width, roll length, and roll quality against work orders and standards
• Inspect film for print, seal, and roll defects; separate and document nonconforming product
• Perform basic mechanical adjustments, roll changes, and machine changeovers
• Follow production schedules and record run data, downtime, and materials used
• Handle finished rolls safely, label, palletize, and stage for shipping or next process
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies
• Follow all safety, quality, and GMP procedures in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Collaborate with press, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve performance
