ICU Nurse, Pulmonary / Respiratory Care
Job Description:
Join a small, adult Critical Care Unit in Springfield, Tennessee, delivering advanced bedside support during 12-hour night shifts. This travel healthcare contract is built around a fast-changing CCU workload—supporting patients with a variety of diagnoses such as DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post heart caths—while working within an 8-bed unit where staffing can shift between 2:1 and sometimes 3:1 depending on acuity.
You’ll put your critical care know-how to work with ventilators, drips (including sedation and vasoactive infusions), and care for CVC lines. The role also includes exposure to key procedures such as bronchoscopy, placement of CVC lines, chest tube placement, and occasional bedside scopes (EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, and trach placement). If you’re comfortable in high-acuity moments and ready to keep things steady through the night, this assignment offers a unique blend of hands‑on complexity and community‑minded teamwork.
Shifts are scheduled as three 12-hour nights per week, with a possibility of floating as unit needs arise. Required certifications for this role include ACLS, BLS, and CPI.
