Job Overview

RN‑Registered Nurse – Med Surg. Weekly stipend $1,246, base pay $684, hourly rate ~$19. Onsite contract, starting 8/03/2026 for 13 weeks.

Night shift, 12 hours/day, 3 days per week with every other weekend off.

Hospital:
Tri Star Northcrest, Springfield, TN.

Unit name: MS2 & MS3; cost centers 61259 & 61359.

Bed count: 27 per floor; patient‑to‑nurse ratio 5:1.

Equipment:
Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, Welch Allen vital sign machines.

Documentation system:
Meditech Expanse.

Staffing:
Unit secretaries on day shift, techs on all shifts; float between MS2 and MS3.

Dress code: dark blue uniform.

• Provide comprehensive patient care during night shift.
• Manage postoperative orthopaedic patients.
• Perform blood transfusions, IV and central line maintenance.
• Document care using Meditech Expanse.
• Coordinate care with unit secretaries and technologists.
• Maintain patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 5:1.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Med/Surg experience.
• Experience with post‑operative orthopaedic patients.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to work night shift and flexible schedule.
• Knowledge of Meditech Expanse preferred.

• Weekly base pay: $684.
• Stipend: $1,246 weekly (~$19/hour).
• Contractual, onsite; 13‑week assignment starting 8/03/2026.
