• One year of recent experience as an ER RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certification

• TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse delivers rapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, implementing urgent care plans, administering life‑saving treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining safety and professional ethics.

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved emergency nursing techniques and protocols
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
• Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs
• Observe and document patient conditions as required within scope of practice
• Take and monitor vital signs using clinical judgment to address deviations and prevent complications
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on emergency nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers, and other support staff
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Proficiency in following written instructions, verbal instructions, and PC skills
• Physical abilities: stationary position, moving equipment (50–100 lbs), push/pull, bend
• Interpersonal skills: work with various personnel, positive attitude, professionalism
• Technical/Motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures and equipment
• Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with minimal supervision, handle irregular schedules, focus on detail
