Your Role as the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Assisted Living community, you’ll have a meaningful impact on residents’ daily lives by providing compassionate, high‑quality clinical care and supporting a strong caregiving team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
  • Support and guide caregiving staff to ensure consistent, high‑quality care
  • Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and ongoing monitoring of changes in condition
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and established protocols
  • Maintain professional relationships with physicians, office staff, pharmacies, and healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with the Regional Nurse Consultant and community leadership to support clinical best practices
  • Support orientation and training of care team members as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and home‑like environment for residents

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing

Licensure / Certification:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required

Experience &

Skills:

  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long‑term care preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, caregivers, and healthcare partners
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Physical Demands:

  • Lift up to 25 lbs and assist with resident transfers as needed
  • Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs, including resident mobility assistance
  • Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs
