Description:
The unit has a total of 27 beds on each floor.
Patient ratios are 5:1.Unit staffing includes unit secretaries during the day shift and techs on all shifts.
Type of equipment includes Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, and Welch Allen vital sign machines.
Documentation is performed using Meditech Expanse.
Scheduling requires working 3 days a week with every other weekend.
Staff may need to float between floors as necessary.
Employees are expected to enhance patient experience.
Procedures performed on the unit include blood transfusions and IV/central line maintenance.
Dress code requires wearing dark blue uniforms.
Unit-specific policies and guidelines should be attached for reference.
