Facilities Coordinator – Springfield, VA Overview
IST Management Services is sourcing for a direct‑hire, full‑time Facilities Coordinator position in Springfield, VA. This position will work on‑site full‑time hours per day in an information technology services company. IST is a rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company and the largest American privately‑owned facilities management company. Founded in 1997, the company is a two‑time recipient of the Human Resources Professional Excellence Award granted by the Society for Human Resource Management.
We observe a business professional dress code and require willingness to cross‑train for potential advancement opportunities.

HoursMonday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (on‑call for after hours).
CompensationApprox. $75 k – $80 k USD per year, dependent upon the candidate’s experience/qualifications.
Security ClearanceTop‑Secret‑SCI CI with Poly or Poly eligible.
Responsibilities- Facility Management: building inspection, routine periodic walk‑throughs of office, maintaining appearance of all common areas, vendor management, and escorting.
- Issue and record parking garage transponders; assist with maintaining and updating the Space & Occupancy List.
- Order and restock office and pantry/kitchen supplies.
- Inspect, monitor, and control HVAC equipment; operate Energy Management System; assist with internal building move coordination.
- Mail and package distribution; record data of all incoming packages and sending out Fed Ex packages.
- Perform small drywall repairs, light painting, ceiling tile replacement, carpet tile replacement, light electrical work (e.g., changing ballast, light bulbs, tubes), light plumbing (e.g., rebuilding or replacing Sloan valves, replacing faucet aerator, resetting or clearing garbage disposals).
- Conference room management, set‑up and breakdown for meetings, general housekeeping of all conference rooms.
- Perform general handyman services (e.g., whiteboard installation, picture hanging, minor furniture repair).
- Office key and furniture distribution and record keeping; door lock repair.
- Respond, coordinate, and submit building related issues with property management and/or outside contractors; quality assurance of work performed by vendor partners.
- Follow proper work order/request procedures; confirm receipt and ensure work schedule is made within 24 hours of the order.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED (college degree a plus).
- U.S. citizenship required.
- TS‑SCI CI with polygraph clearance.
- Customer service related experience preferred; professional appearance and demeanor; ability to meet employer’s attendance policy.
- Keyboarding and Windows environment PC skills; excellent communication skills both verbal and written; ability to work individually or in a team environment.
- Competency in performing multiple functional tasks; willingness to cross‑train for other job functions; capable of lifting up to 55 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
