Overview
MANTECH seeks a mission-driven and detail-oriented Senior Staff Officer to join our team in Springfield, VA. This role is 100% on-site and provides high-level support to senior leadership, independently managing a wide range of functions and tasks. The position involves tracking strategic issues, developing planning guidance, and resolving complex business and administrative challenges central to office management, business operations, and communications.
Responsibilities- Executive Calendar & Front Office Management: Synchronize complex daily and long-range calendars for senior leadership, and manage day-to-day operations and front office business activities.
- Strategic Planning Support: Track operational and strategic issues for leadership, develop high-level roadmap strategies, and implement organizational planning guidance.
- End-to-End Task Coordination: Serve as lead coordinator for internal and external taskers via N-CERTS, driving initiation, assignment, consolidation, and quality control of leadership submissions.
- Executive Communications & Briefings: Draft and prepare executive briefings, PowerPoint presentations, talking points, and staff summaries for senior directors, agency heads, Intelligence Community partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Comprehensive Meeting & Event Logistics: Facilitate leadership-directed meetings, conferences, and off-sites by managing facilities, VTC setups, read-ahead materials, and tracking action items to closure.
- Defense Travel System (DTS) Administration: Manage and audit complex domestic and foreign travel arrangements, accurately processing travel orders and vouchers using DTS and MET tracking systems.
- Facilities & Information Management: Oversee the office records program, manage SharePoint sites and security permissions, update rosters, and coordinate logistics for office moves and supply inventories.
- Process Improvement & Staff Mentorship: Author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to resolve administrative gaps, and mentor junior administrative staff as a subject matter expert.
- 12+ years of demonstrated experience performing significant administrative or office manager duties for senior-level leadership, with the ability to lead tasks and projects independently to closure;
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 15+ years of directly applicable experience is required. - Demonstrated knowledge of office information technology (IT) equipment (e.g., copiers, scanners, fax, computers, phones, teleconference equipment) with the ability to operate such equipment to complete administrative tasks.
- Proven ability to plan, lead, and follow through on complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with government systems such as DCIPS, People Soft, NGA N-CERTS, and MET.
- Expertise with government systems, including DTS.
- Experience with records management, best practices, and information management tools.
Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to obtain a polygraph.
Physical RequirementsThe position requires the ability to remain stationary for about 50% of the time and to move as needed to access file cabinets, office equipment, and communicate with colleagues, including delivering presentations.
