Overview

Support an intelligence community client's history department by raising historical awareness through publications, lectures, exhibits, and outreach. Serve as a museum professional applying quality standards and advising on inventorying and accountability procedures for historical artifacts. Assist in internal charge‑out and external loan procedures, artifact selection, storage, and curation requirements. Work with a historian to create displays, posters, and exhibits, and help plan and execute internal and community media relations activities.

Collaborate with the client’s news team to develop articles and other historical publications. Conduct archival processing, basic preservation procedures, inventorying, and metadata entry. Work with client records management and the National Archives to advise on documents suitable for display. Organize archival records and apply proper classification systems to facilitate access. Research origins and historical significance of materials, locate new acquisitions, and advise government customers on preservation and display possibilities.

Provide museum management support, including an annual update of the tour guide, and conduct guided tours of the museum and exhibits with prepared scripts.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years experience in a history, geography, library science, museum studies, or museum science role
  • Experience supporting or managing museum operations, including exhibit development, artifact curation, and preservation
  • Strong research, development, and production skills for high‑volume historical content for multiple audiences, including articles, exhibits, social media, podcasts, and internal or external publications
  • Ability to apply and maintain proper classification and cataloging systems for archival materials
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Library Science, Museum Studies, or Museum Science
Security Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation

Salary range: $55,200.00 to $ (annualized USD). The range reflects the typical compensation for this position and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
