Extended Care Director

The Extended Care Director is directly responsible to the Assistant Head of School for the supervision of the morning and after-school care program at Immanuel Christian School (ICS). The main responsibility of the Extended Care Director will be to provide a strategic and safe program for our Extended Care (EC) students that aligns with the mission of ICS. This involves creating an atmosphere of learning through study halls, clubs, and playground activities.

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Extended Care staff
• Organize and manage after-school clubs
• Supervise students in the care of EC workers at all times and coordinate transition times
• Provide safe activities for students after school
• Communicate with outside agencies on after-school programs and clubs
• Snack procurement and management for the students
• Comply with School and Security protocols to ensure the safety of each student
• Communicate virtually and face‑to‑face with parents
• Receive phone calls from parents and outside vendors and respond appropriately
• All‑day Extended Care during Teacher workdays/Professional development days

The Extended Care Director will be a Christian who can give a clear testimony of having accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. As a Christian, this person should model an obedient Christian walk before students, faculty, staff, and the community we serve. The director should manage multiple tasks and programs at once, communicate discipline and behavior issues to parents, and teach each student in a Christ‑like manner.

The director should be comfortable initiating conversations and discussions with students, parents, and visitors to the school.
