Strategic ACI is looking for a Geospatial Data Engineer to be a member of our team in support of the Army Geospatial Center (AGC).
Responsibilities:
- Supports geospatial system integration and testing exercises and events.
- Performs SSGF/Common Map/Common Terrain geospatial data loading and interoperability assessments.
- Evaluate 2D and 3D geospatial data formats and standards for incorporation into the Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE) and future Army systems.
- Coordinate with AGC stakeholders for development and testing of geospatial data dissemination processes.
- Provide subject matter expertise regarding geospatial use-cases, workflows, and data products utilized by Army Command and Control Systems.
- Provide data management support to enterprise databases and datasets.
- Assist with migration, testing, and operation of data dissemination platforms (ex. AGP, AGDF, GRiD).
- Provide research into automated data processing workflows for analysis and product generation of geospatial data.
- Support evaluation and experimentation of Tactical Servers and Edge Nodes as disconnected geospatial map servers.
- Support Army exercises and experimentation with coordination, planning, and on-site data loading subject-matter expertise.
Required:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 or more years related work experience in engineering, geographic information systems, computer science, or related engineering field.
- Familiarity with geospatial applications used within the AGE (ex: Esri Enterprise, ATAK, QGIS, etc.).
- Familiarity with Army Programs of Record (IS&A, CPCE, MMC, Nett Warrior, NGC2, etc.) that utilize geospatial data.
- Expert knowledge of geospatial data formats utilized within the Standard and Sharable Geospatial Foundation (SSGF).
- Experience developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or other process documents.
- In-depth knowledge of national GEOINT systems and, the corresponding architecture within the Intelligence Community, and how they interface with joint and Army tactical systems.
- Basic understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle to include independent testing and data verification.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on briefing to obtain decisions and solve technical issues and test plans/reports writing.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn, solve problems and perform in a dynamic work environment.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Experience with cloud geospatial data optimization.
- Experience working with multinational partners data integration and sharing.
