BAS Operator/Controls Technician

Citizenship:
Must be a U.S. citizen.

Security Clearance:
Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

• Diagnose control system concerns and ensure occupancy comfort.
• Troubleshoot local controllers, communication wiring, programs, and schedules.
• Ensure proper set‑points, schedules, and sequences of operation are correctly programmed.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as point‑to‑point check‑out, sensor calibration, and software backup.
• Maintain overall occupancy comfort while focusing on energy management.
• Interact with building occupants in person and over the phone; identify opportunities to conserve building energy (HVAC).

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Formal or informal education/training that allows reading and writing at the necessary level.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in building controls and automation.
• Certification as a building automation system operator (Siemens APOGEE, BACnet, or MD Stationary Engineer license level 1, DC Stationary Engineer license level
  3).
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Computer skills:
  Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Knowledge of using a laptop and stationary computer to operate the building automation system.
• Ability to use control technician hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.

US $49.12 per hour.
