Amentum is hiring an Operating Engineer (HV Shop) to operate and maintain one or more systems that provide an establishment with heat, air‑conditioning, refrigeration, steam, high‑temperature water, or electricity in the CUP.
Responsibilities- Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts that register various aspects of the system and meet demand for the services provided.
- Record logs of the system’s operation, keeping engines, machinery, and equipment in good working order.
- Direct and coordinate activities of other workers in tasks directly related to operating and maintaining the system or systems.
- Perform repair of electronic control equipment for workers in establishments producing electricity, steam, or heated or cooled air.
- Perform other responsibilities as may be appropriate to the position.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Ability to lift 45 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent. MD stationary engineer license level 1 or DC stationary engineer level 3 required.
- Skilled in repair of electronic control equipment.
